PITTSBURGH, Oct 10 (TrendyNWS) Former President of the United States of America Barack Obama on Thursday directly called on male voters in Pennsylvania and asked them to vote for his vice, Kamala Harris, and dump Donald Trump, whose approach to the election he described as divisiveness.

While addressing the crowd during his campaign meeting at the University of Pittsburgh, Obama urged voters to look at what he said was a misinterpretation of strength by certain men enamored with Trump’s rhetoric. He pointed towards the fact that there is strength only in sisterhood and brotherhood, not in being brutal.

“I have heard men say I wish I was strong like Trump,” Obama said. “True power is not in forcing people down and suppressing those who are already on the floor helpless. It is such a leader Kamala Harris has been demonstrating all along.

Fighting Sexism Among the Black Voters

Before speaking at the rally, Obama touched on a much more sensitive topic—the reluctance of some Black men to vote for Harris, described by him as possible sexism.

‘I imagine that some of the reasons some men have failed to come out in support of Kamala are that they are not yet prepared to have a woman as a president’, said Obama, during his visit to a campaign office. However, she continued, This is what they need to do now: “But it’s time to move past that.”

Harris’s Campaigns are mostly targeted toward Pennsylvania.

With the election coming up, Pennsylvania is predicted to be a swing state. Obama’s speech is the first in a series that he will give on behalf of Harris as the vice president prepares for Nevada and Arizona, among other swing states.

Obama also talked about Harris’ measures mentioned on the tests, including housing and taxation, which are contrasted with inaccurate and vague plans in Trump’s campaigns.

“Kamala has clear, actionable plans for America,” Obama tagged along. “Trump has vague ideas but little solution.

Youth and Rural Voter Outreach

Where Obama sought to campaign in Pennsylvania, on Saturday, the former President Bill Clinton planned a trip to Georgia and North Carolina with an emphasis on rural residents. There is also Harris’ team investment in the youth vote, essential to her campaign. Nevertheless, the number of registrations of young voters has been lower than before, which is problematic for the Democratic party.

Obama will try to mobilize the male vote and increase young people’s turnout, which could benefit Harris because she is waging a tough battle with Trump.

“I understand folks feel angry or disappointed, but Kamala Harris is the strongest pathway to progressive reform,” Obama said. “It is not the way forward to return to Donald Trump.”
