The young and cheerful movie star Shraddha Kapoor has revealed something about herself that shocked her fans. Recently, in an emotional interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine, Shraddha took the time and spoke about her journey throughout her career, especially when times were tough while shooting for her first movie, Teen Patti.
The current Bollywood star, who recently shot to fame after the blockbuster success of Stree 2, revealed to her fans that she had a very tough ride to the ladder of success. Shraddha was a mental wreck just for two or three days of the shoot and realized that she was not ready to face the pressure of Bollywood.
Shraddha’s First Days on Set
As I mentioned before, she played Teen Patti on the sets, and informed me, “I had a breakdown on the second or third day of shooting here.” I went home, and before my mom, I confessed that I did not want to go back to set again. The primary thing in this world, I did not feel that I grasped in the least, at all. Solely at 20 or 21, Shraddha had no experience working on the sets of films whatsoever. However, she has never been an assistant director (AD), a level that many actors use to learn the industry before being in front of the camera.
“I was lost. I did not disagree, which made Shraddha continue. People weren’t always nice. Like in most other systems of domination, ‘If you were somebody’, you were spoken to in one way, but if you were a ‘nobody,’ the treatment was completely different’. She meant, of course, the blatant hierarchy that exists in Bollywood and is known to cause people’s treatment on set to vary drastically depending on the rank of the individual.
Bollywood’s Social Dynamics
Shraddha, who is the Bollywood offspring and daughter of actor Shakti Kapoor, admits that there was a time when she was alone in her journey in Bollywood. “It felt disheartening. When approaching my first film, I did not think it would be as demanding as it truly was. “I did not expect rejection and competitiveness in the industry,” she went on to say and gave an example of how everyone in the industry is treated depending on their position in the industry.
Coming to Teen Patti, Shraddha was cast opposite Amitabh Bachchan; here she was a college-going girl named Aparna Khanna. However, this film possesses a star-studded cast, but it did not attract the audience enough at the box office. For Shraddha, it proved to be rather a big setback. But it also turned out to be the lesson, which made her even more unyielding and eager to succeed.
She stressed that the shootings of her first movie were rather an ordeal that enriched her both as an actress and a person. Thus, as was the case with my second film, I have gained an improved understanding of the kind of relationship I share with the cast, crew, or director. I understood that politeness and sensitivity are essential on the set, mostly to those novices.”
Aashiqui 2 Was a Career Changer for Her
Even though Teen Patti could not fare well at the box office, the heart wasn’t broken, and Shraddha was not disheartened. She firmed up her position in Bollywood heavens with a romantic musical in 2013 named Aashiqui 2. The film’s shot into stardom bore her an irreplaceable position in Bollywood, and she went further cementing her in the movie industry with others such as Ek Villain, ABCD 2, and Baaghi.
Even in the comments section, Shraddha acknowledges the fact that she never wished that those tough times were taken away from her. All of the above is just the usual course of life. To understand the value of the above calm moments, you have to endure the tough ones.
This Stree 2 is a fine example of her commitment to her craft and skill shining. The horror comedy not only impressed the audience, but it has set some records and has become the highest-grossing Hindi film in India, leaving behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.
Here is what Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor has to say to newcomers.
In this interview, Shraddha wants to tell aspiring actors and newcomers that it’s okay to stumble as she did in the beginning. “It’s a part of the process. If you wake up in the morning in a state of confusion, then it’s not that you are not supposed to be here anymore. It is not wrong at all; it just means you’re learning. And once again preserving the inalienable human right of being gentle and kind to one’s self, that one should allow himself/herself the freedom to learn and evolve.
She also said there was nothing as encouraging as having someone to turn to for help. “Mike was there on those difficult days, and he encouraged me to go on. ” It’s good to have somebody who believes in you it’s all you need to carry on.”
Staying Grounded Amid Success Despite the kind of success she has at the moment, Shraddha has always been a very friendly and down-to-earth star in Bollywood. She has always kept good relations with her fans, and most of the time she takes social media platforms to show her appreciation. Shraddha Bond’s Journey in Bollywood is a great success story of a typical Bollywood heroine who has proved herself and taking up more challenging roles.
