In an interview with HollywoodLife that was published recently, Zendaya said she doesn’t know much about the upcoming third season of Euphoria. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the star, who portrays the troubled high schooler Rue Bennett and serves as the show’s executive producer, disclosed that there’s going to be a time leap between the two seasons.
“It’s important because there’s only so much high school drama you can handle—’ Oh no, I lost my credit card, but oh yeah, I found it!’” Zendaya said. But as for the specifics of the new season, she would not say much, explaining: “I don’t know much about what’s happening.” One thing I do know is that the time jump is coming, which is interesting.”
Zendaya said in an interview for the promotion of the show that the next season will depict the lives of the main characters after leaving school and facing real-life struggles. ‘ It will be quite fascinating to learn how their high school experience defines them as full-fledged citizens of this vast world, more so when she added:
The HBO series Euphoria will be starting production for season three in January 2025, with the original cast in tow, and that includes Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow. Yet, Barbie Ferreira, who portrayed Kat, publicized early she didn’t intend to come back, and Euphoria lost another cast member in Angus Cloud to a July 2023 death.
Speaking about the changes in the show and the new season in an interview earlier, Sydney Sweeney, who acts as the character Cassie Howard, said that she was excited about it. This is a new process as a result of the time jump; however, I am quite enthusiastic about it. I adore Cassie, and I can’t wait to see what will happen to her next “I had a great interview with KIIS FM, but it’s surprising how many people only know her as the girl from the ‘Me & U’ video or the woman who has been linked to multiple celebrities,” she revealed to Cosmoton.
Even though HBO’s management announced in March 2024 the postponement of episodes’ releases, the audience did not lose interest in it. If season three delivers on this perspective of its characters immediately after high school, the drama series will continue to deliver tight-knit matches as the previous seasons.
